Why it exists
Most invoicing tools make you create an account, hand over your data, or start a subscription before you can send a simple quotation. That’s overkill when you just need a clean proforma invoice. proformapad does one thing well: it lets you build a professional proforma invoice and download it as PDF, Word, or Excel — instantly, and for free.
Your privacy comes first
proformapad has no backend for your invoice data. Everything you type — your business details, your clients, your line items — is created and stored on your own device, in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account tied to you. You can download a backup file to move your work between devices, and clear it whenever you like. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
How it works
The entire invoice builder runs as code in your browser. When you download a PDF, Word, or Excel file, that document is generated locally on your machine — not on a server. That is why it is fast, keeps working once the page has loaded, and keeps your data yours.
Is it really free?
Yes. proformapad is free to use, with no limit on how many invoices you create. To keep the project running we may add optional premium features or unobtrusive advertising in the future — but the core invoice builder will stay free, and your invoice data will never be sold, because it never leaves your device in the first place.
Who’s behind it
proformapad is an independently built and maintained project. It is intentionally simple, privacy-first, and free — the tool we wished existed when we needed a quick proforma invoice.
